Millions of Arabs are scattered around the world and are looking for ways to meet people with shared experiences, culture, and values. Baklava is the first and only platform that helps all Arabs make these connections with a cultured and curated mobile app and supportive social events.

Baklava is designed to connect like-minded Arabs looking for romantic relationships. We understand the importance of having a significant other who honors our Arab culture and wants to build a unit around it.
Friendships
Baklava’s Besties mode is designed to help Arabs connect with other like-minded Arabs locally. Whether its to bond over Turkish coffee or sing along to Fayruz, or share shawarma sandwiches, baklava aims to keep our Arabic culture alive through creating new friendships!
Leila Muhaizen, Founder & CEO
Leila combined her experience in social entrepreneurship and project management,
her education, and her passion for bringing people together to build an innovative, first-of-a-kind app. She is a native of Lebanon and graduated with a BA in Media & Communications from the American University of Beirut (AUB). She currently lives in Los Angeles.
